How much does it cost to get into the festival? THURSDAY:
No admission fee

FRIDAY:

$1 admission fee for people 6 years of age and older.
No admission fee for children 5 years of age and younger.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY:
$2 per day admission fee for people 6 years of age and older.
No admission fee for children 5 years of age and younger.

The fee includes performances by nationally-known artists and much more family fun and entertainment in the village of Rosenhayn in Deerfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey. It also includes free re-admission to the festival on the same day of the purchase of the admission. Please make sure your hand is stamped before you leave the festival site for re-admission.

With reductions in State funding, some sponsorships and other revenue, festival organizers ask its audience for a very modest entrance fee on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in order to be able to continue to present the outstanding line-up of local, regional and national musical performers it is known for over Columbus Day weekend.

Thanks to continuing support from area businesses and organizations the entrance fee is being kept as low as possible.

We hope that those who have enjoyed the festival over its history will understand the need for the entrance fee and support the festival in this way so we can continue to provide a family-oriented event with children's entertainment, special events, parade and performances by national stars, rising stars and regional and local bands.

Do we pay an additional after the admission fee to see the live music and other entertainment? No.  Once you've paid the general admission charge, there is no additional charge for the musical and children's entertainment, except for amusement rides, games and other specialty events. Note that you may become a Friend of the Festival for a contribution and gain access to special Friends of Festival reserved seating section in front of the main stages.  See Friends of Festival Seats info. in this website
Is this a fund raiser for the Township and how much does it make? No it is not a fund raising event.  It is a community event designed to bring people, especially families, together to have fun and to honor farming.  Any profit goes into the Deerfield Township Recreation Trust Fund which is used to support future festivals and to help maintain recreation facilities and programs in the township.
What happens if it rains? As long as weather conditions are not unsafe, the festival goes on rain or shine.  So pack those rain slickers and umbrellas and come out and enjoy the fun.  Due to contracts with entertainers and many other scheduling complications, the festival must be held as scheduled.
Where is the festival? It is in the community of Rosenhayn in the Township of Deerfield in Cumberland County, New Jersey.  The festival is held on the grounds of Rosenhayn Fire and Rescue and Frank LoBiondo, Sr. Park on Morton Avenue.

It is an outdoor event with entertainment on a covered stage and on the basketball court on the park.  Amusement rides, food booths, arts and crafts -- all the events except the parade, take place on this 8 acre site.  Click on "Directions" for more detail on the location and how to get there.

Who runs the festival and why is it held? The Deerfield Township Recreation Committee, which is part of the government of the Township of Deerfield, created the festival to develop a positive public image for this small farming community, to bring all parts of this diverse community together in a positive event, to honor the importance of farming, and to have fun in a celebration near the end of the farming season.

It is produced and managed by the Recreation Committee with volunteers from the community and many community groups from throughout the region.

Is there any seating for the entertainment? Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets to place near the stages.  There is some bleacher seating available and there are picnic tables nearby. Note there is a special reserved section with folding chairs provided by the Festival for Friends of the Festival.  See info on this site about Friends of the Festival Seats.
Where can I park? Please use the Official Festival Lighted Parking Lot.  Follow the signs.  It is located just off Landis Avenue about 150 feet east of Morton Avenue behind the Rosenhayn Fire Hall a short  an easy, lighted walk to the Festival. The $5 parking fee benefits the festival and area community groups.

Some parking spaces in these two lots off Landis Avenue are reserved for handicapped use.
